Hello All Today I am going to post about the Topic On Electrostatics And Electric Charge


Electrostatics :

The branch of engineering which deals with charges at rest is called Electrostatics
*The word Electrostatics means the electricity at rest

Electric Charge :

When a body has deficiency or excess of electrons from the normal due share then it is said to be charged or electrified

The body will acquired a positive or negative charge depends on the electrons removed or added

The charge on the electron is so small then it is not convenient to select it as the unit of charge 
i.e
SI unit of charge is Coloumb abbrivated as 'C' 

One Coloumb of charge is equal to the charge on 625×10^16 electrons

        1 Coloumb = Charge on 625×10^16 electrons

      -e= 1/(-625×10^16)
        =-1.6×10^(-19)


Properties Of Electric Charge :

• Electric Charge is quantized i.e only certain values of charge are allowed charge on the body 

             Q=±ne
                n=1,2,3,4,5,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
                e=1.6×10^(-19) C

• Electric Charge is a conserved quantity
• The magnitude of a electric charge on a body is indipendent of the speed of the body
• The electric cherge is a scalar quantity
